The Census is hiring people for the 2010, they have positions that will start as early as Jan 2009. Go to their site 2010censusjobs.gov or call 1-866-861-2010!. They can tell you when the next testing is for these positions.
I know they have 2 more coming to the Lakes Region Library the beginning of Jan. Call them for when the next one is coming to your area.
I just wanted to pass this on in hopes that maybe someone else knows of someone looking for work or just some extra cash. They do pay for mileage, the amount will be according to where you are working, unfortunately they couldn't tell us exactly how much we would be making this year, but that the last census workers got $10 an hour.

Please pass on the number to anyone that might not have a computer or haven't come across this yet.

We have to help one another. I found this on EmployFlorida.com, I check it for other places to apply for work. There is so much there to help someone looking for work. Someone can search a county, something available within a radius of their home, and you can save your resume there. Some jobs want a resume all you have to do it click on submit your resume and it will be sent to them. I think this site is great it helps you find that place that you missed or wasn't on your list of places hiring.

dorothydk is right. it's our duty to help one another for the sake of mankind. I hope everyone who's out of work or is between jobs, gets his/her dream job asap. But, remember one thing to do when you get your first pay. Insure yourself, loved ones and your precious belongings, so that in crises,it pays off.
